I've wanted to talk to you
Wanted to smile at you
Ever since I first saw you
But I've been too scared
To even show you I cared.

Then last night I made a wish
On a shooting star
Today you talked to me

I wrote this after I finally worked up the courage last year to ask one of the guys I like to prom and, wonder of all wonders, he agreed to go.

Overall, pretty good; however, I would recommend not repeating yourself so much(wishes do come true.) Although it emphasises your point, the technique has been over used in this poem, and seems to be that you are just trying for length and rhythm in your poem.

Indeed. I listed this under songs, didn't I? *isn't sure* If I didn't, then I meant to. It actually sounds better than it reads.

Ah, sorry, my mistake. You did list it as a song- I should probobly start checking the category; it might help with my comprehension. And now that I reread it as a song, rather than just a poem, it does sound a bit better.
